NAPPANEE — With an approach similar to its rotating set of color commentators in football, WHME (103.1 FM) plans to broadcast 20 NorthWood boys and girls basketball games this regular season.

The lineup tips with the Westview at NorthWood boys game on Thursday. Eleven other Panther boys games are also slotted, as well as eight girls games, the first of those being Friday's home contest against Elkhart Memorial, according to Michiana Promotions owner Ron Bedward.

Just some of the individuals slated to join play-by-play announcer Craig Wallin for color commentary are NorthWood coaching greats Dan Gunn and Steve Neff, as well as ex-Panther star Ryne Lightfoot, Bethel College coach Mike Lightfoot and former Indiana Mr. Basketball Jeff Grose.

Bedward also said that Panther games will be broadcast in postseason.
