Tyson Chupp of Goshen wins Indiana Elks Hoop Shoot state title

 

NEW CASTLE — Tyson Chupp of Goshen is an Indiana free throw champion.

Chupp won the Indiana Elks free throw shooting contest in the age 8-9 division Saturday, Feb. 27. He nailed 24-of-25 free throws, which was the best percentage among all athletes in all age divisions.

The Bethany Christian schools student has qualified for the Elks Great Lakes Regional competition in Angola on March 19 where he’ll compete against shooters from Ohio and Michigan. The Elks National Hoop Shoot Championships are set for Chicago April 14-17.

Chupp also won an Elkhart County event as well as the district level in Plymouth.
