Elkhart Central baseball staging youth clinic on March 19




Elkhart Central clinic: A one-day camp for students in grades K-6, led by the Blue Blazer coaching staff and varsity players, is planned for 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 19. Cost is $20, which includes a T-shirt. The event will be on the varsity diamond weather permitting, otherwise in the Central gymnasium. To receive a T-shirt, the form must be in by March 14. Registrations will be taken up to March 19.

Northern Indiana Cardinals 14U: The Cardinals are forming a new 14U team. Any player who will turn 15 after May 1 is eligible to try out. Tryouts are conducted upon request. For more information, call 574-850-9579 or email n.cardinals@aol.com.

Elkhart Baseball League: The EBL, a men’s recreational league, is seeking players, teams and umpires. Contests are played “for the love of the game,” according to organizer Rob Oswalt. For more information, call Oswalt at 574-343-7959.

Elkhart Wrestling Club: Students in grades K-8 are welcome to join the Elkhart Wrestling Club, which will meet Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. beginning March 3. Practices will be held at the Elkhart Central High School wrestling room. There is no cost to attend, but organizers will accept a $30 donation to offset the cost of club shirts provided to wrestling. For more information call 295-4720.
