Cleveland rolls to Elkhart elementary city girls basketball title

 

ELKHART — Cleveland defeated Roosevelt STEAM Academy 23-7 to complete an unbeaten season and win the Elkhart Community Schools elementary girls basketball championship last week.

Holly Rhemel scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds for coach Patrick Shelton’s Indians. Maddie Axsom added seven points and two blocked shots.

Lauryn Brooks paced Jason Stone’s Roosevelt club with five points and two steals, while Da’Janair Walker led all players with eight rebounds.
