Johnson

Damon Bailey (left) and Concord graduate Jamar Johnson, pose at a function earlier this decade. The duo played key roles in the 1990 IHSAA boys state basketball game, won by Bailey’s Bedford North Lawrence team.

You might think when a season is capped by playing for a state championship, and that championship is witnessed by the largest crowd ever to see a high school game, and that game goes to the wire, and that game is wrought with controversy, all other games would pale in comparison.

Most of all, a blowout, regular-season game.
