Even as the race was just starting, NorthWood’s Kaitlin Burden (149) had her eye on Northridge’s Haylee Hile (249) at the Elkhart Girls Cross Country Sectional last Saturday. Hile and Burden would finish first and second in the race.

It’s was a very intense, insane and incredible week of high school sports.

Last week, girls and boys soccer held their sectionals, as did cross country on Saturday. Boys tennis had regional competition on Tuesday and Wednesday and we had high school football – as usual – on Friday.
