MIDDLEBURY — Northridge coach Doug Springer spent a long time talking to his team after Saturday’s girls high school basketball loss to Warsaw — about 25 minutes — yet it still didn’t feel as long as it took the Raiders to get started during the game.

That slow start proved costly as the hosts’ fourth-quarter comeback fell short in a 37-33 defeat against the Class 4A No. 12-ranked Tigers at the Middlebury Madhouse.
