MISHAWAKA — Elkhart Christian senior Bethany McKibbin has signed a letter of intent to continue her academic and softball careers at Bethel College, beginning in the fall of 2017.

Last season, playing several positions for the Eagles, McKibbin hit .400 with seven doubles, two triples and a home run. She has earned the team’s Offensive Player of the Year honor the past two seasons, while also being recognized as a scholar athlete for three straight seasons.

Away from the field, McKibbin has collected a pair of varsity letters as a member of both the girls basketball program and the volleyball team. She is also an active member in her church’s youth group, teaches children’s church, is an officer for National Honor Society and participates in the Student Leadership Association.

“I’m excited to play softball for Coach (Scott) Reese at Bethel,” McKibbin said. “But, above all, I’m looking forward to growing my faith in a Christ-centered environment while pursuing a degree in criminal justice.”
