MUNCIE — Though his team dropped a tough game to in-state college basketball foe Valparaiso, Concord High graduate Franko House reached a milestone for the Ball State Cardinals on Sunday.
House, a senior forward, scored his 1,000 career point in Ball State's 79-73 loss to the Crusaders, becoming the 29th player in BSU history to surpass the mark. He currently has 1,004 points after scoring seven, grabbing five rebounds and adding four assists against Valpo.
He also ranks 19th all-time in rebounds with 562.
The 6-5 House is averaging 14.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in his final season for the 3-3 Cardinals.
One of the players House has passed in points this season is former Concord coach Jim Hahn, who finished his career in Muncie with 966. Hahn, who graduated in 1979, remains the all-time assists leader for the Cardinals with 573.
