ROANOKE, Va. — Hannah (Grieser) Hochstetler, a graduate of Bethany Christian High School and Goshen College, was killed in a two-car accident just outside Roanoke, Va. on Thursday, according to WDBJ television in Roanoke.

Hochstetler, 26, now living in Jackson, Miss., was killed when a man driving North on I-81, lost control and ran off the left side of the roadway. He then crossed the median and hit Hochstetler's car, which was traveling southbound. Hochstetler was driving and wearing a seatbelt, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the car, Caleb Hochstetler, was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the other vehicle, Monte Maurice Zuck, 72, of Oklahoma City, was taken to the hospital and later charged with reckless driving. The crash remains under investigation.

Hannah Hochstetler was a volleyball player both at Bethany Christian, where she graduated in 2009, and Goshen College, where she graduated in 2013. Her mother, Beth Grieser, is a sixth-grade teacher at Bethany.
