NOTRE DAME — The Ryder Cup trophy will make an appearance at the University of Notre Dame prior to Saturday's game between the Fighting Irish and Michigan State.

Notre Dame is a stop in a month-long, 5,000-mile Ryder Cup Trophy Tour to help promote the biennial match featuring the top American golfers against the best from Europe. This year's event is at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn., beginning Sept. 27.

From 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, the trophy will be on display at the Irish Green at Notre Dame, where fans may pose for pictures with the Cup. In addition, fans may participate in a mini-golf hole-in-one challenge that's a replica of Hazeltine National's seventh hole. There will also be Ryder Cup trivia games.
