OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Kristopher Negron doubled and singled as the Iowa Cubs beat the Oklahoma City Dodgers 3-2 on Tuesday.

Okla. City tied the game 1-1 in the second after O’Koyea Dickson scored on a balk.

The Cubs grabbed the lead in the fifth inning when Tommy La Stella hit an RBI single, driving in Aaron Brooks.

The Cubs tacked on another run in the sixth when Munenori Kawasaki hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Negron.

Okla. City saw its comeback attempt come up short after Dickson hit a solo home run in the ninth inning to cut the Iowa lead to 3-2.

Brooks (1-1) got the win in relief while Ross Stripling (0-1) took the loss for Okla. City. Felix Pena gave up one run in two innings and recorded his second save of the season.

Dickson homered and singled twice, scoring two runs for the Dodgers.
