In one of the closest votes in history, Jimtown senior Preston Phillips has earned The Elkhart Truth’s Boys Basketball Player of the Year, finishing just ahead of three Northridge High School teammates.

The 6-foot-7 Phillips led the Jimmies in nearly every statistical category this season, including scoring, rebounding, assists and blocked shots, helping lead coach Matt Schauss’ team to a 17-8 record and a berth in the Class 3A Jimtown Sectional finals.
