SOUTH BEND — A Northern Indiana Conference divisional title was there for the taking, and Jimtown took it with the same clean, decisive authority that Johntu Reed used to take back the football on the game’s very first play.

“That ball did look kind of big,” Reed said with a grin of recovering his own onside kick to open the contest and start the Jimmies on their way to a 35-0 shutout of South Bend Riley during the Wildcats’ Senior Night on Friday at rainy Jackson Field.
