FORT WAYNE — The Concord tennis team battled No. 8 Delta on Saturday, but fell at the semistate level, losing to the Eagles 5-0.

It's the second straight season the Minutemen have lost to Delta at the Homestead Semistate.

Concord's No. 1 doubles team of Keegan Thursby and Lauren Pollock went to three sets, before falling 6-3, 2-6 and 6-4. Senior Regan Landis also lost for the first time in the tournament, losing 6-4 and 6-2 to Delta's Ellie Snyder. It was only Landis second loss of the season.

Meaghan Godzisz fell at No. 2 singles to Gwen Clark 6-1 and 6-1, while Lauren Boessler fell at No. 3 singles 6-3 and 6-1. Finally, the No. 2 doubles team of Kelsee O'Dell and Kalee Price lost 6-0 and 7-5 to the Eagles.

It was the third straight semistate appearance for Concord's Thursby, Godzisz and Landis.
