State runner-up NorthWood presents football awards

NAPPANEE — The Class 4A state runner-up NorthWood High School football team gathered this week to present special award winners.

Among those winning honors were Drew Minnich (Steve Miller/Mr. Black Crunch Player of the Year), Trey Bilinski (offensive player of the year), Ethan Hochstetler (Rod Bradway Special Teams Player of the Year) and Andrew Miller (lineman of the year).

Others named included Garrett Griffin (Josh Callander Comeback Player of the Year), Lorenzo Rocha (most improved), Caleb Newcomer (Jim Andrews Panther Pride Award) and Bailey Coleman (Steve Neff Look Player of the Year).

The Panthers finished 14-1, falling to unbeaten Indianapolis Roncalli 34-22 in the Nov. 25 4A state title game.
