MISHAWAKA — Teams don’t ordinarily trail at every count except 0-0 and 2-2, fall behind by as many as 18, lose by 10 and then have their coach say it “probably was our best game,” but teams don’t ordinarily run into opponents like Marian, either.

The visiting Elkhart Lions tried to hang with the Class 3A No. 1 and overall No. 10-ranked Knights, but ultimately fell 53-43 in boys high school basketball Friday night for their fifth straight loss.
