100 Women Who Care Elkhart

“We just want to make a difference in Elkhart County,” said Jenny Welch. And that is exactly what she and Sheila Terlep are doing. In the summer of 2014, Jenny and Sheila, community philanthropists, organized the 100+ Women Who Care Elkhart chapter, a gathering of local women who care deeply about Elkhart County and give generously to help ensure that their communities thrive. There are more than 350 chapters that are making a huge impact in communities throughout the world.

100 Women Who Care Elkhart gather four times a year for an hour-long meeting. Each woman or team of women will write a check for $100 and write down the name of a local charity that is then put into a pool for consideration. Three names will be drawn and the attendees will vote on which one should receive that meeting’s funds.
