Rarely, if ever do I write to the paper but I feel comped to share my thoughts on the coroner’s contest. I have known Jim Ramer for 32 years, working with him as fellow firefighter/paramedic for the city of Goshen. During our time together, I have seen Jim work intuitively in times of crisis using his education/training and experience to mitigate emergencies.
Over the last 10 years, we have functioned as an administrative team overseeing a 5 million dollar budget while guiding the department through extremely difficult financial times. During these times Jim provided invaluable counsel on budgets, payroll, personnel and daily operations as my assistant chief.
