NAPPANEE — Lucille Masterson, 93, of Nappanee, died at 9:53 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Warsaw Meadows Care Center in Warsaw.

She was born Feb.  22, 1926, in Nappanee, to Delbert and Mary (Miller) Stutzman.

Lucille lived most of her life in the Nappanee area.

On March 25, 1943, she married Gilbert Masterson in New York. He preceded her in death March 27, 1996.

Lucille attended Nappanee Missionary Church.

She had managed The House Across the Street in Nappanee for more than 25 years. Prior to that she had worked at Hadley’s Dress Shop for many years.

Lucille had been a volunteer for Nappanee Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center and served on the Apple Festival committee for many years. She also supported CAPS and was a Poppy Days Volunteer.

Surviving are her daughters, Pat (Ronald) Elliott of Huffman Lake, Pegge (Norris ) Cutshaw of The Villages, Florida and Pamela Lynch of Nappanee; daughter-in-law Libby Masterson-Chimel of Goshen; grandchildren Brooks (Sheila) Elliott of Indianapolis, Bobbi Jo (Trent) Gongwer of Wakarusa, Bane Elliott of Indianapolis, Batt (Makki) Masterson of Greenville, North Carolina, Breea (Alan) Nunemaker, Bremen, Stuart (Jackie) Lynch of Nappanee and Casey Lynch of Lawrence; sister Sally (Dean) Guard of Nappanee; and brothers Eugene (Jean) Stutzman of Warsaw and Gary (Terry) Stutzman of Charlotte, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Masterson; sister Betty Yoder and brothers William, Oliver, Olin, and infant brother, Edward Stutzman.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.

There will be a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m.

Pastor Mike Beezley, Atwood Alders Gate United Methodist Church will officiate.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in South Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Heart to Heart Hospice.
