MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury Community Schools is requiring parental consent to allow students access to library books that may contain illicit material.

The directive came after Pam Keyser, a parent, filed a complaint about a few books she said contained “inappropriate materials including pornography, profanity and racism” at the Northridge middle and high school libraries.
