GOSHEN — A two-vehicle crash about a mile south of Goshen on Monday sent a woman to the hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to a report from Elkhart County Sheriff's Department.
The crash occurred at 6:53 a.m. Monday at S.R. 15 and C.R. 40, police said.
Linda Sommerlot, 66, of New Paris, was driving a 2009 Ford Edge north on S.R. 15 and attempted to turn west on C.R. 40, according to the report. She was struck by a 2006 Ford F-150 driven by Chad Pletcher, 47, of Goshen, which was traveling south on S.R. 15.
Sommerlot, who was transported to Goshen General Hospital with complaints of chest and arm pain, was cited for failure to yield the right of way, police said.
Pletcher was not injured. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage and both drivers were wearing seat belts, police said.
