Voting machines tested

Chad Clingerman, Elkhart County’s voter registration office manager, tests voting machines at the Elkhart County Administration building on Thursday morning ahead of the May 4 special election.

GOSHEN — Voting machines were tested Thursday and election officials were reminding voters of an upcoming registration deadline ahead of a special election focused exclusively on the Elkhart schools referendum.

Elkhart County Clerk of the Circuit Court Christopher Anderson said all the machines tested well and will be ready for absentee-in-person voting starting Tuesday, April 6.
