ELKHART — The marble headstones of veterans buried at Rice Cemetery will shine brighter on Memorial Day, thanks to a group of volunteers with the Elkhart Area Marine Corps League.

For the past three weeks, the veterans have kept busy serving those who served by scrubbing and cleaning the headstones of the fallen heroes during their spare time.
