GOSHEN — A two-vehicle crash on C.R. 45 along the railroad tracks near the entrance to Ox Bow Park sent two people to the hospital Tuesday.

A report from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred northwest of C.R. 15 about 1 p.m. when the driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Lumina, traveling northwest, veered left of center and collided with an oncoming 2014 Honda Civic.

Sandra Perach, 76, of Elkhart, suffered shoulder pain and was transported to Goshen Hospital. She was cited for driving left of center, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, Julie Helman, 54, of South Bend, was not injured, the report said, but a passenger, Robert Garcia, 61, of Elkhart was transported to Elkhart General Hospital with chest pain.

All three were wearing seat belts, the report said.
