GOSHEN — The Great Inflatable Race is coming to the Elkhart County Fairgrounds on Aug. 24, according to event sponsor Goshen Physicians Othepedics & Sports Medicine.

The free and family friendly event features a 5K giant inflatable obstacle course, and registration is open now at www.thegreatinflatablerace.com/goshen.

The race is not about winning, the sponsor said, but about being active and livign a healthier lifestyle.

“Promoting and supporting healthy lifestyle choices is so important. We are very excited to bring this event to our community. It’s going to be a blast and a great opportunity for families to have fun and be active together,” said Dr. Arjuna Cuddeback, Orthopedic Surgeon at Goshen Physicians Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

The event will also include an inflatable village, educational activities and a soccer ball giveaway.

In preparation for the big day, Goshen Physicians Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and Eastlake Athletic Club are offering a nine-week online training program starting June 17 on Goshen Health’s Facebook event page for The Great Inflatable Race. Training instructions, videos and tips will be posted to prepare participants for the 5K race.

Registration is required to participate in the race.
