ELKHART — Local students will put their construction skills to the test as they work with a nonprofit to build tiny shelters for the homeless in the community.

The Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship is partnering with Faith Mission of Michiana to help expand the nonprofit that helps transition people from being homeless to being a renter or an owner.
