SOUTH BEND — Ivy Tech Community College on Wednesday announced the hiring of Brian Studebaker as vice chancellor of enrollment services for the South Bend-Elkhart campus. He begins July 15.
Studebaker will be responsible for managing the strategic development and execution of several admission-focused areas at the two-location campus, which offers courses in South Bend and Elkhart County.
He brings over 27 years of college admission experience to the position. Studebaker has served in leadership admission roles at St. Joseph’s College, St. Norbert College (Wisconsin), Holy Cross and Spring Hill College (Alabama). Most recently, he served as the director of transfer admission at Marian University in Indianapolis.
“We’re very glad to have an experienced talent like Brian Studebaker joining our leadership team at Ivy Tech,” Acting Chancellor Katherine Kent said. “He brings a wealth of leadership and knowledge to this position, and we’re looking forward to seeing the great things he’ll accomplish.”
Studebaker played a vital role in helping secure eight academic program articulations agreements, as well as a reverse transfer agreement between Ivy Tech and Marian University.
A native of the Midwest, Studebaker earned his master’s degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from Silver Lake College in Wisconsin and holds a bachelor’s in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College.
