ELKHART — An Elkhart firefighter memorial statue is back on its feet a year after it was damaged.

The bronze statue was returned to Kardzhali Park, next to NIBCO Water and Ice Park in downtown Elkhart. The monument broke last year when one of the anchors fell off.

Great job guys! Premium Concrete and Max's boys and EFD firefighters. Finally! Too bad the City could not find it in their hearts to participate! Not a priority I guess! But a fleet full of new black Chevy Tahoes ....well everyone needs a $60,000 + vehicle to drive back and forth to work!
