ELKHART — Since closing schools amid the coronavirus outbreak last month, local officials say most students within their districts are still reporting to school, virtually.

Many Indiana schools called off classes starting March 16 and hoped to return to their buildings after spring break in April. Then, the state ordered another closure through May 1 before closing schools for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.
