GOSHEN — Emergency crews were responding to a report of a small-plane crash Thursday night, but few details were available at press time.

Elkhart County dispatchers received a call after 8 p.m. about a crash near C.R. 42 and C.R. 33, which is just east of Goshen Municipal Airport and about 3 miles west of Millersburg.

Sheriff Jeff Siegel said one person was presumed dead, but it was unclear if a second person might have been on the plane. He said first responders were having difficulty getting near the crash because of a downed power line.
