GOSHEN — A 46-year-old Goshen man was taken to Goshen Hospital after he was hit by a vehicle as he was attempting to cross U.S. 33 at the intersection with S.R. 15.

Ollie L. Jaco told police he was walking through the intersection as allowed by the signal but was not on the crosswalk when he was hit by a southbound vehicle turning left from S.R. 15 onto U.S. 33, according to a report from Goshen Police.

The accident occurred about 9:40 a.m. Friday. Patricia Matthews of Goshen told police she did not see the pedestrian walking across the intersection.

A report on Jaco’s condition was not immediately available.
