ELKHART — A report of a vehicle fire in Elkhart resulted in the dispatch of four Elkhart city fire engines and two ambulances, though no injuries resulted.

Upon arrival at 625 Harrison St., emergency personnel discovered two old tractor-trailers behind the property, along Madison Street. One of the trailers was on fire.

The burning trailer, according to nearby residents, had been filled with old wallpaper from the business located on the property and may have also been housing squaters in the weeks and months prior to the fire.

"We did have some flaming pieces on the second trailer, however it did not catch fire. We were able to get here soon enough to keep it contained,"  Battalion Chief Dave Cushwa said.

The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes.

Elkhart City Fire Inspector Rob McClintic was on scene and investigating the cause of the fire.
