ELKHART — An investigation is continuing into a fight that ensued at the Johnson Street Kroger Monday afternoon, according to officials in the Elkhart City Police Department.

Elkhart city officers were dispatched to the scene, 901 Johnson St., in regards to a fight during an open interview session.

Elkhart City Police Public Relations Officer Travis Snider said when officers arrived the fight had ended and people were disbursing, but officers gathered enough information from a witness and located a suspect and make an

arrest.

Jennifer Mcclinton, 36, of Elkhart, was arrested for battery with injury.

Minor injuries were reported, police said.

A video circulating around Facebook showed the fight breaking out, as well as foldable furniture being thrown and a nearly a dozen people engaging in the fight at one point.

The video has since been deleted by the poster, who also commented that they were not the originator of the video.

Kroger associates indicated that the company will release a statement at a later time, though it was not yet available at time of press.
