Nine injured in downtown Goshen crash

GOSHEN — A collision in Goshen resulted in nine injuries Sunday afternoon, police said.

A witness told police a GMC Envoy, driven by Antonio Guerrero Serrano, attempted to beat a red light at Main Street and Lincoln Avenue about 4:20 p.m., according to a report from Goshen Police.

At the same time, a Ford F150, driven by Erica Aguilar, was coming to the intersection on Lincoln Avenue.

Serrano’s vehicle was struck as the light on the other side turned green and Aguilar entered the intersection, the report said. Serrano’s vehicle continued eastbound onto the north side of the sidewalk on Lincoln Avenue, striking a small tree and running over a park bench, which also smashed a small window at the Moreno Law Firm building.

All six passengers in Serrano’s vehicle and Serrano went to the hospital with complaints of pain as did the single passenger in Aguilar’s vehicle and Aguilar, police said.
