INDIANAPOLIS — A South Bend man who received an 87½ year sentence after a jury found him responsible for a friend’s death during a robbery in Elkhart has lost his appeal.

Santori Dorsey, 21, was convicted of murder and of conspiracy to commit robbery resulting in serious injury following an October 2018 trial. He was charged under the felony murder rule, which involves a death that happens during the commission of another crime, after a robbery and shoot-out in August 2017 that killed 18-year-old Lenell Williams.
