NEWBERG TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 28-year-old man riding in the bed of a pickup truck fell out when the driver drove through a curve. 

Bryan Parson was treated at the scene by Newberg Ambulance transported to Bronson Hospital about 4 a.m. Sunday, according to a report from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department. 

Police said Santanna Mosher, 21, was traveling south on Cox Road when he drove through a curve onto Hoffman Street.

Speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation, police said.
