ELKHART — Many of those who waited in a long line Friday in the parking lot at Concord Mall to get free food expressed their appreciation for the help during trying times.

“I’ve got four kids under the age of 8, and this food drive distribution saves me at least $150 a week in expenses,” said Amanda Turner of Goshen. “This is a difficult time for most and I’m glad the Food Bank is doing this to help people like me.”
