DUNLAP — Class moved outdoors for a group of local fourth-graders on Friday as they picked up some first-hand experience in meteorology.

The high-ability students at Concord Ox Bow and Concord West Side elementary schools crowded in a circle on Ox Bow’s soccer field and launched a white-filled helium weather balloon. The launch was part of a special outdoor project for data collecting.
