The Tolson Center for Community Excellence will open its doors in early 2023 after having the center rebuilt. The City Council agreed to transfer the property to the nonprofit organization that will run the center and promised to provide $700,000 per year for 10 years to cover operation costs.

ELKHART — The Tolson Center’s future looks secure, for the first time in years, after the City Council agreed on Monday night to transfer the property to a nonprofit and provide it with $7 million over 10 years for operating the center.
