Rep._Christy Stutzman


MIDDLEBURY — Indiana state Rep. Christy Stutzman, R-Middlebury, announced Tuesday she is stepping down, blaming the governor’s coronavirus-related business restrictions.

Stutzman won re-election on Nov. 3.

Probably best she is out so someone more interested and vested can do a better job. If at only a few weeks she is blaming others as an excuse, then good riddance.

Yet another politician who wants to be able to profit during a deadly pandemic. Anybody with half a mind realizes this is effecting absolutely everyone in one way or another. The leaders of both local hospitals have been pleading for tougher restrictions due to increase in hospitalizations. If more had been done earlier and previous restrictions hadn't been lifted too early maybe we wouldn't be in the position we are in now. I hope whoever replaces her cares about human life and the strain being put on our medical personnel.


Imagine that.... A politician that might finally understand what the real world faces everyday? She may even have to give up Starbucks ! Oh the Humanity !
