ELKHART — Chief of Police Kris Seymore commended seven officers on Monday for actions in the previous year including several life-saving acts.

Seymore told the Police Merit Commission he decided to wait until now to present the official commendations because he wanted to do more than something over WebEx, which would have been necessary previously due to the pandemic.
