ELKHART — Donald Rainwater, the Libertarian candidate for Indiana governor, finished his tour of the state in Elkhart on Sunday afternoon with a crowd of about 40 supporters.

Rainwater has become popular among people who find that Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb has overstepped during the COVID-19 pandemic by mandating masks, ordering people to stay home and businesses to shut down. In a recent poll by Cygnal, Rainwater had 15 percent support among likely voters, while Holcomb had 47 percent and Democrat Woody Myers had 29 percent.
