NorthWood High School student Delaney Shay serves as state representative Tim Wesco's page

NorthWood High School 10th-grade student Delaney Shay served as a page for state representative Tim Wesco during the 2015 session of the Indiana General Assembly.

The Indiana House Page Program gives students between the ages of 13 to 18 a better understanding of the legislative process by letting them serve as pages alongside legislators, legislative assistants and interns, according to a news release from the Indiana House of Representatives’ Republican Caucus.

Pages have the opportunity to watch how bills become law through a full day of legislative activity.

Students can observe floor sessions of the House, Senate and Supreme Court chambers, as well as tour the statehouse where Governor Mike Pence works.
