The cruise-in raises money for United Cancer Services of Elkhart County. Last year area tractor clubs raised more than $3,000, according to previous reporting by The Elkhart Truth.
Registration for tractors starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 13. The 10-mile drive through Nappanee countryside beginning and ending at Coppes Commons will start at 9 a.m. For slower tractors, a second tractor drive is planned for 2 p.m. through downtown Nappanee.
The tractors will be on display from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and there will be yard games and food vendors. Tractor wagon rides will be offered for kids. A luncheon is planned for tractor drivers and cancer survivors.
Second Saturday will also feature the third annual Hoosier Egg Fest.
Ernie Miller, founder of Miller Stove & Fireplace, said those planning on competing in the contest should show up around 6 or 7 a.m. Judging for the contest begins at 11 a.m.
Miller said while participants don’t need to pre-register, it would be helpful if they did. Those interested can call 855-426-2699 to register.
Representatives from Big Green Egg will give free grilling and barbecue classes 5-8 p.m. Friday.
