Doriot and Mumaw

GOSHEN — Republican state Sen. Blake Doriot is being challenged for his District 12 seat in this election, as retired businessman Charles Mumaw, a Democrat, runs for the Senate for the third time.

First elected in 2016, Doriot now has to defend a seat in a largely Republican district. Four years ago, he defeated Democrat Carl Rust by 70 percent to 30 percent. In 2012, the Republican won by a similar margin.
