MIDDLEBURY — Grand Design Recreational Vehicle Company recently celebrated another milestone by producing over 50,000 units before its 5th anniversary and just four months after hitting the 40,000 unit mark earlier this year.
Grand Design dealers and retail customers are embracing the Grand Design experience resulting in year over year sales growth far exceeding that of the market. According to Statistical Survey’s Inc. (SSI) latest report through November the company’s year-to-date retail unit’s sales growth is over five times higher that the growth rate of the combined towable industry.
Grand Design, the third largest producer of RV’s in North America, celebrated the milestone with a catered in meal for all the employees and a personal thank you from Don Clark, President/ CEO of Grand Design.
“It is very humbling to have accomplished so much in such a short time. We need to take a few moments to say thanks and reflect on just what our Grand Design owners, dealers and team members have done over the past few years,” stated Clark in a press relase announcing the manufacturing milesone.
In a previous story published in August, Clark said that the five-year-old company is the fastest growing in the industry.
“We are now listed as the third-largest manufacturer of travel trailers and fifth-wheels in North America, we’re listed as one of the fastest-growing companies in the history of our industry,” he said.
His remarks were made at the Aug. 23 groundbreaking on a $10 million expansion of two new facilities in Middlebury.
