GOSHEN — As a former church volunteer was sentenced Wednesday for molesting boys entrusted to him, one parent accused him of using the youth group as a “hunting ground” for victims.

Scott Christner, 46, of Goshen, was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by a 21-year suspended sentence after he admitted to five out of 12 counts of child molesting. He was charged with inappropriately touching five boys – all under age 16 – on multiple occasions between 2012 and 2019.
