GOSHEN — Voters in Elkhart County will be greeted with masked pollworkers, sanitizing wipes and Q-tips to mark their ballots on touchscreen machines during the delayed primary election Tuesday.

Of course, that’s only true for voters who didn’t already mail in their ballots ahead of time. More than 5,000 completed ballots have been received and a total of close to 9,000 ballots were requested in recent weeks, Elkhart County election officials have said.
