DUNLAP — Asphalt patching along a seven-mile stretch of U.S. 33 between Goshen and Ekhart is expected to start Monday.

The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that road repair on U.S. 33 between S.R. 15 and U.S. 20 is scheduled to start as early as 7 a.m. Monday, weather permitting. The work is expected to continue until early August.

Drivers are cautioned to watch for lane shifts and possible stopped traffic as the road patching is carried out in both directions, says INDOT. Drivers are also asked to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active work zone.

The project was awarded to Rieth-Riley Construction Co. at a cost of $534,000.
